More stars - Lisää tähtiä

Naturally after the first star sweater I needed to knit another one for the other sister. That was the plan from day one and since the patterns was well written and the sweater turned out fine, why not :) This one is more of my liking - colourwise. I wouldn't mind one of these myself :) (I am not going to make one though :)). The pink yarn was a pain to knit even though the result is pretty. No way of counting any increases or decreases and weaving in the ends was hard too because the little loops split no matter how blunt a needle I used. Knitting was a bit strenous too, the loops did not split knitting it, but it wasn't very smoothe knitting either because the yarn just didn't run smoothly.

Luonnollisesti toisen tähtipaidan valmistuttua piti tehdä toinen toiselle siskolle. Tämä oli suunnitelmana alusta asti, ja koska ohje oli selkeä ja paidasta tuli kiva - miksipä en tekisi. Tämä on värimaailmaltaan enemmän minun makuani, voisin tahtoa sellaisen itselleni (en kuitenkaan ole aikeissa sellaista itselleni neuloa :)). Vaaleanpunaisella langalla oli vähän hankala työskennellä koska oli mahdoton laskea lisäyksi tai kavennuksia, lankojen päätteleminenkin oli hankalaa koska pienet silmukat venyivät ja vanuivat vaikka oli tosi tylppä neula käytössä. Neulominenkin oli vähän raskasta koska lanka ei kulkenut neulotessa sujuvasti.

A star is born - Tähti on syntynyt

I have wanted to knit this for ages because it looked so cute and cuddly on the pictures. I wasn't wrong, my daughter loves it to death and it was nice and easy to make. It's the smallest adult size but as you can see it's not too big even though my gal is just seven years old. The colours are a little too candy to my choice, but I'm not the one who is going to wear it, am I? She has chosen the colours herself. The only mod I had to do was the star - when I followed the chart I ended up with something that looked like pink vomit. This is my own star and even though not close to perfect, at least it vaguely resembles a star :)

Olen halunnut neuloa tällaisen jo kauan koska se on niin pehmoisen ja ihanan näköinen kuvissa. En ollut ihan väärässä, tyttäreni rakastaa sitä hulluna ja oli mukava ja hauska neuloa. Se on pienintä aikuisen kokoa mutta kuten näette se ei ole juurikaan iso vaikka tyttäreni on vasta seitsenvuotias. Värit ovat hieman liian karkkimaiset makuuni, mutta minähän en paidaa pidä. Hän on itse valinnut värit. Ainoa muutos jonka tein oli tähti - kun seurasin kaaviota siitä tuli vähän pinkin oksennuksen näköinen möntti. Tämä tähti on omaa designia ja vaikka ei ole täyhdellinen muistuttaa sentään etäisesti tähteä :)
